Fabricating for a function The 3D print came out great, It scaled perfectly on top of my ps5 and fits right into the groove in between the panels of the ps5, the only thing that couldve gone a little better was the holder for the cable, however the main concept of it and the “function” worked out as planned. It holds the controller, holds the cable up, and scaled on great, and because of the flat bottom, it can also just be placed on a table.

VR Project This project was not as bad as I thought it would be! I actually kind of enjoyed how creative this process is, and I found myself racing against the clock, not because my game was hard to make or complex by any means, but because I constantly was wanting to add something more. I got pretty familiar with the UI pretty quickly, considering I am on a mac, and I even was able to learn a bit of how C# works, with the help of a few youtube videos that taught me how to create basic commands. But lets get into the game and how it works. So I created a game that is a bit of a mix between backrooms style, maze, race, kind of game. So I made a tunnel out of platforms, placed my player at one end, and then made the end wall with an image of my girlfriends terrifying, deadly, chucky cat. and coded the wall to close in on the tunnel and make the effect of it chasing you. On top of that, I was able to code the wall so that if at any point in the race/chase you were touched by the evil...

Ok so this project has been going quite well for the most part. I am happy to be back on FreeCAD, whether that is a common thought I am not sure, but it is my personal preference. I've done quite well in terms of measurements, which was pretty easy considering the items I need to measure are largely used popular products, so it was just a google search away and I was able to get exact measurements. Using those exact measurements, I was able to create my own stand which I am overly confident it will not only work, but I will be putting to use every day, not just for the final project and calling it a day.      I made a base large enough to keep the stand upright and because of the base I have no fear in it tipping over when placing the controller on top. I then created the stand that would hold up the controller, this will hold the controller perfectly as I have used distance constraints to make sure the dimensions are right for a ps5 controller. I also made it in that cur...

Fusion Objects I dont like fusion, it sucks, i dont want to use it ever again. The first three were a bit of a pain, but manageable considering you guided us through it.  The bowler hat. please show mercy, i spent way too much time trying to understand it, I know that it is definitely not a hat that can fit on most heads, im sure that the person who fits into it would rock it. It took me a combined like 7 hours to try and teach myself how this program works, many restarts, many "click a button and spend 20 minutes trying to figure out what it did to my object." Eventually I was able to get it, somewhat. I know if i messed around a bit more I couldve prob figured out how to compress it and make it not look so long, but if I am being honest with you, I can't be asked and maybe you feel me maybe you don't I don't even know anymore. So I know my bowler hat is quite unusual, but I hope you see the effort, pain and tears that I went through for this, and see it as a st...

Fabricating for a function I am going to create a stand for my ps5 controller. I also want to make the stand have holder for the charger to where I can just clip the charger there and hold it in place. because if not, the charger falls on the floor and can get stepped on.

Free Cad Assignment 3D Printing Object 1 was pretty basic, following the tutorial was very simple and I found free cad to be a bit confusing in terms of the UI originally, but once i got familiar it was simple. object 2 was pretty basic once I familiarized myself with free cad (which took a lot of time and a lot of messing around and frustrating mistakes) , as I just measured a desk/table in my house and made it to scale by around 0.1 mm larger for it to fit but not fall off, and I did research on the width and thickness of mac cable (4.6 mm) to make it large enough to fit the cable and hold it within the holding area, but I made the cable groove small enough for the magsafe connector (12.6 mm) to not fall through. I then also added little legs that you can fit the cable through and prevent it from falling off the groove, but making sure you can comfortable slide the cable into. Then finally I decided to mirror the cable holder for fun just to make it fit 2 cables rather than just...

TinkerCAD unit project screen shots This project I think was an excellent way of learning to problem solve and a unique way of having to get creative in order to create, if that makes any sense at all. I believe I did a pretty good job in my 3D models. I found more success in making my own shapes for a lot of the curvatures. specifically in the spoon and the aviators as those two I did completely on my own. I also think that really mastering the "void" is a big step in going from beginner to advanced in learning to use TinkerCAD. not that I would say I am anywhere near an advanced level at all, but I do think the more comfortable I got with the tool, the more I started to get confident and was able to take a big step further in my creativity. I also would say along with voiding is also grouping. Those two actions together are what allow to create new shapes and thats how I was able to get the connecting part for the lens of the aviators, and the nose pieces as well. I made a...
